Episode #6 - Billy Jones and Mike Hamilton, REMSA

This month, we were excited to sit down with Billy Jones and Mike Hamilton, two paramedics with REMSA, to discuss their ongoing organizing campaign as they work to unionize.

As frontline professionals, they are coming together to gain respect and raise their collective voices. They are joining with AFSCME Local 4041, EMS Workers United. AFSCME EMS professionals have raised wages and benefits, strengthened job security, increased access to employer-paid training and education, and elevated the profession and level of care in communities across our country. As unionized REMSA EMS employees, they hope to bring those improvements to Washoe County and its surrounding areas.

Northern Nevada Central Labor Council stands with REMSA EMTs and Paramedics and we are asking the community to stand with them as they form their union. Sign the petition below to support them today. Their union election deadline is on February 9!

Join us as we discuss COVID-19, Washoe County School District, and issues that matter most to teachers as we talk to Natha Anderson, President of the Washoe Education Association. Find out more about the WEA at the link below.

Episode #4 - Scott Fullerton & Mike Pilcher, OE3
