KWNK Happy Hour was a unique series that transformed a 13 x 8 foot room into a diner-themed stage, celebrating the creativity and resilience of local and touring electronic and hardware musicians. The project highlighted the dynamic and innovative spirit of Reno’s electronic music scene, which has adapted and thrived despite the challenges posed by limited physical space and gentrification. With support from the Holland Project, KWNK Happy Hour captured and shared the energy of this vibrant community through live streams, radio broadcasts, and a rich video archive. Check out the performances and interviews from the series below to experience the unique cultural identity of Reno’s DIY music scene.
First up on our Happy Hour menu is Thatnamedoh, a platter of eggs you can have scrambled or folded into an omelette with all your favorite toppings. Served with a side of half-baked cookie doh for that savory & sweet kick.

Mared Jurphy took over the menu with a sizzling plate of crispy tempura veggies and a side of whole roasted garlic. All topped off with a drizzle and sizzle of holy water!
On this week’s Happy Hour we have HD Cry$tal, a juicy Microbial Cheeseburger bubbling over with organisms, crunch, and cheesy buns. Comes with a bottle of sweet tea to wash it all down!
