Why Community Radio?
With more than 40 radio stations broadcasting through the area, there are none that are truly community oriented. KWNK will be the only station to broadcast on a diverse mix of programming and musical genres for and by the people of Reno. We do this with free-form programming, where people from the community have access to the airwaves.
Who Are We?
Local non-profits the Reno Bike Project and the Holland Project are partnered with the University of Nevada’s Wolf Pack Radio to create this community-driven radio station. Bringing Wolf Pack Radio to the FM-Dial for the first time since the student-run online station started a decade ago while offering free-form radio to the rest of the community.
Help Us Find Our Voice!
We need to raise $10,000 to get KWNK broadcasting. This will fund our initial start-up costs including equipment, engineering fees, and our rents.
KWNK is an affiliate of the Reno Bike Project, 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Donations are tax-deductible.
